The Ulster Senior and Ulster Underage Track and Field championships were held at the Mary Peters Track in Belfast.
Finn Valley’s Dempsey McGuigan did Patsy proud in the senior championships in the hammer.
Lifford AC’s Anne Marie McGlynn came home with two medals – gold in the 800m and silver in the 1,500m.
Letterkenny AC’s Dan Mooney took gold in the men’s 1,500m
McGuigan also set a new Donegal record of 62.85m at the championship and then went to Bedford in England on Sunday and beat it again – with a throw of 63.58 metres.
The gold medal winners at the underage championship which were held on Sunday also in Belfast, at the Mary Peter’s Track were – John Kelly, Finn Valley AC (shot); Blainaid Patton, Lifford AC (triple jump) Caoimhe Byrne, Sliabh League (pole vault); Jade Leeper, Finn Valley (discuss and shot); Fergus Cox, Inishowen AC (javelin); Karen Gallagher, Lifford AC (300m hurdles); Ian Brennan, Finn Valley AC (high jump and long jump); Aaron McGlynn, Finn Valley AC (1500m); Sean O’Brien, Letterkenny AC (U-17, 100 m); Noah Sannai, Letterkenny AC (U-16, 100m); Ciara Herron, Tir Chonaill AC (shot); Sarah Conroy, Sliabh League AC (triple and high jump); Jack McGeehan, Finn Valley AC (triple jump). Nicole Cuskelly, Lifford AC was also a gold medal winner.
