Our senior footballers got their Championship campaign back on track after a pulsating draw with last years beaten finalists N. Conaill in a sun drenched Connolly Park on Sunday. We looked to be limping tamely out of the competition when the half time whistle sounded as we trailed 0.8 0.1 but after a superb second half fight back we earned a 1.8 to 0.11 draw. Our final group game will be at home to Cloughaneely at the end of the month, should we record a victory and St Eunans (who have already qualified) defeat N. Conaill the final qualification place would be decided on scoring differences. While on the other hand, if we were to lose the clash with Cloughaneely we would left to fight for our place with the 3 other group losers, in next years Senior Championship. So there is still everything to play for.
In the Reserve competition, we were well beaten by an excellent N Conaill side, and unfortunately qualification for the last 8 is beyond our grasp.
