Killybegs man Seamus Coleman played an instrumental role in helping Ireland secure a draw against England at Wembley and was named as ITV’s Man of the Match.
The Everton star put in an inch-perfect cross for Shane Long who scored a super header to put the Green Army 1-0 in the 13th minute.
However just ten minutes later a defensive error saw England’s Frank Lampard make it 1-1 when he ghosted in to score form close range.
Before a crowd of more than 80,000 fans, many in the green jersey, England bombarded the Ireland goal but goalkeeper David Forde pulled off a number of great saves.
Former Ireland captain Andy Townsend, commentating for ITV, named Coleman as Man of the Match.
“Seamus had a fantastic game, from setting up the goal for Shane Long with a wonderful cross to his defensive game. He was superb throughout,” said Andy.
