A special graveside commemoration will take place in Donegal to honour one of Celtic FC’s founding fathers.
The ceremony will mark the grave of Joseph McGroary who was part of the committee responsible for setting up the famous Glasgow side 125 years ago.
Members of Mr McGroary’s family will gather in Frosses on September 7th next for the ceremony.
A celebration will follow in Mountcharles, the town where Joseph lived his final years and died in 1937.
Family members from Donegal and Glasgow will be attending on the day as well as other family and Celtic supporters from throughout Scotland and Ireland.
An open invitation has been extended to all Celtic supporters or indeed anyone with an interest in Scottish/Irish genealogy or sport to attend and make this a special day.
