Tonight in Dungloe, Naomh Conaill proved to strong for their opponents in this Under 14s division 1 championship match. The Glenties men started the better scoring 3 unanswered points but then Dungloe countered with a well taken goal that their pressure deserved.
This seemed to spur on Naomh Conaill who scored 2 quick goals through Jack McKelvey. Another 2 goals were quickly added for N Conaill as they led 4-5 to 1-1 at half time.
The second half was much the same as the first with the Glenties men starting quickly and putting the Dungloe defence under pressure with a couple of quick goals putting Naomh Conaill in a commanding position.
This result puts Naomh Conaill on top of the table on their own and in a strong position to move into the next stages of the competition.
Dungloe will have to re group quickly as they play Ardara this Saturday in the league semi final.
Final score from Rosses Park: Dungloe 1-5, Naomh Conaill 7-7
