Robert Emmets Club Notes: Lotto & Bingo. Friday 26/4/13, Numbers: 10, 17, 18, 22. One winners of €100 – May Mc Colgan. Next week the Lotto Jackpot is €1,300. Next week’s Bingo Snowball is €1,520 with a total prize fund of €3,270 on the night with books and sheets only €7.Silver Circle: The club would appreciate help from all club members to ensure our silver circle is a success. Cards are available from club treasurer Colm Gallagher. All five draws will take place on Sun 5th May. Men’s Teams: The senior team’s recorded their first win of the season at home to Pettigo on Friday night with an impressive margin 4-14 to 1-4. On Sunday the senior team were defeated 3-13 to 1-3 by a stronger Urris team in a game re-fixed from the previous week. Senior team training continues at 7pm on Tuesday and Thursday.
Underage: It was another impressive week for the club at underage level. The under 10’s and under 8’s welcomed N.Mhuire and Mc Cumhaills to Pairc Eimead recording three wins and a draw. Team and action photo’s can be seen on the club facebook. A big thank you to everyone who helped out in any way on the day, both on and off the field. The under 10’s are back training at 11am on Saturday. Under 16 training continues on Friday evening’s. Games this week: Sat 4th: Seniors are away to Milford, throw-in 7:15pm Sympathies: The club would like to extent sympathy to Kelly family on the recent death of Richard.
Balmoral Show: A day trip to the Balmoral show on Thursday 16th May has been organised. Bus departs Castlefinn at 8 30am pick up’s on route. Price 12 euro. Anyone interested contact Roisin Ph: 085 1248838.
St. Vincent de Paul Society: We make this special appeal to you all for donations of clothing as unfortunately stocks in the local Thrift Shop are very low. As the Thrift Shop plays a vital role within the community helping families in need, we hope you can help us with our appeal. This maybe an ideal opportunity for families to begin their Spring Clean and in turn help us to replenish our stock levels. HSE Community Gardening Course Sustainability in The Garden at the CPI Centre: Subject to numbers the following course will run in May for four weeks. It will look at the following Sustainability in the Garden, Getting the most out of our polytunnell, Bee Keeping and its benefits and Cooking your own produce with the Community Chef. Messy Hands Baby and Toddler Group: Runs every Tuesday morning in the CPI Centre from11.00am-12.30pm. New members are always welcome and this is a great opportunity to get children socialising from an early age before playschool.
Community Walking Group: Runs every Wednesday morning at 10.30am. All new and past members are welcome. This is a great opportunity to come along and get to know people in the local community under the guidance of your local walking leader.
