The New LIne Road has now been re-opened after an object left outside the Garda station was declared a hoax.
Gardai have declared an incident during which an object was left at Letterkenny Garda station this morning as a hoax.
What appeared to be a pipe bomb was left at the front of the station at New Line Road just before 10am.
It was noticed by a member of the Gardai and the area was sealed off.
The bomb disposal team declared the object as safe this afternoon.
Gardai are appealing for anyone who knows anything about the incident to come forward.
