DIE-HARD Daniel O’Donnell fans spent three nights camped in the cold for tickets — but they needn’t have bothered, as only half were snapped up.
Superfans of the singer were camped outside Harrogate Theatre in North Yorkshire from last Wednesday — three days ahead of ticket sales.
However, the queue had all but disappeared by 9.45am on Saturday morning, with 1,000 tickets still remaining.
Kevin Jamieson, executive producer at Harrogate Theatre, told the Irish Sun “It wasn’t as busy as all the O’Donnell fans had warned us it would be.
“There were 2,000 tickets and there are still around 1,000 left on sale. The phone and the website have been quite busy though.”
One Daniel lover, who was wrapped up in blankets against the unseasonal chill, said: “It’s been cold but we are well prepared.
“We’ve been doing this for 20 years.”
Another lady queuing overnight said: “After this there’s another long wait until the concert in October. I couldn’t take the chance there would be none left.”
Mr Jamieson said he was shocked by how long the fans had waited.
He said: “I must admit I’ve been here nine years and have not seen people camping out.
“They are all such dedicated fans to wait.”
