A large attendance said a final farewell to one of Donegal’s best known political figures of modern times today.
Bernard McGlinchey received a fitting send-off as a packed St Eunan’s Cathedral remembered a gifted public representative and businessman.
Among those who turned up to show their respects was Maire Geoghan-Quinn, Pat The Cope Gallagher, Ray McSharry and Mary Coughlan.
People form across the various political parties in Donegal paid their respects to the late Senator who died at his home in the Blue Banks, Kilmacrennan on Thursday evening.
The late Mr McGlinchey’s coffin was draped in a tri-colour while many mourners wore tri-coloured armbands.
