Residents of Ballaghder/Illistrin just outside Letterkenny have proved that cleaning up your community can be fun.

More than 50 residents of the area got stuck into the massive clean-up.

And together the group managed to fill a full skip of illegally-dumped rubbish including everything form televisions to nappies was recovered.clean up3

Among those who led the way was local teacher John Devenney and farmer Joe who controlled the tractor!

And it wouldn’t have been all worthwhile but for the party at the end of the day.

Who says you can’t haver some good CLEAN fun!
