1.45AM latest: A massive gorsefire has broken out and is burning close to Loughanure village in West Donegal.
A number of fire services have arrived at the scene of the blaze but the terrain is proving difficult.
The blaze is now just off the N56 between Crolly and Loughanure and was just 20 yards form one house earlier
At least three fire crews and dozens of local volunteers are trying to contain the fire.
There is a concern among firefighters that the fire could now spread over the hillside towards the Annagry Road which has several houses in close proximity.
Dozens of acres of bogland have already been scorched in the blaze.
Forefighters in the area had only returned from fighting blazes earlier this evening in a number of locations including Gaoth Dobhair.
Earlier this afternoon a large blaze raged across Kincasslagh before it was brought under control.
