Big Francies 5 Cope House 3
Big Francies made it to their first league final with a 5-3 win over The Cope in a closely fought match played in Roartys, the 2011 league champions got off to a great start winning the first two doubles of the night with Paul Gillespie and Stephen Muirhead beating Mike Naulty Jnr and Antony Gallagher and Philip and David Gallagher beating John Damien Gallagher and John Murphy 2-0 in both games. Mike Naulty and Conal O’Gara beat Irwin Muirhead and Rodney McBrearty in the last of the doubles games also 2-0. Mike Naulty Jnr levelled the game up with a 3-1 win over Paul Gillespie he had a 18 dart leg as well, the next game was a meeting of the Gallagher brothers with John Damien beating Philip 3-2 in a close match. Mike Naulty beat Rodeny in another close match 3-2 to put the Ardara side one away from the win. Irwin Muirhead pulled another game back for the Cope with a 3-0 win over Antony Gallagher he hit a 177 also. It was local lad Kieran Gallagher in his first year with the side who was the hero of the night clinching yet another close match 3-2 he also has a 20 dart leg in this.
Roartys 5 Kilcar House 0
Roartys are back in the league final for the third year in a row following this win over Kilcar House, with Kilcar House duo Raymond Hegarty and Hugh Doherty poised to take the first game of the night Kieran Carr took out a 133 checkout to put the Glen side 1-0 up he was throwing with John McGinley. Dermot McGuire and Antony Gallagher beat James Byrne and Colm Carr 2-0 and JP and Michael Byrne defeating Kenneth Kennedy and Scott McBrearty the finishing of Roartys was the difference in these games. In the first singles Dermot McGuire beat Kenneth Kennedy 3-2 in a great game of darts to leave Roartys one match away from the final and it was John McGinley who took the match with a 3-1 win over Raymond Hegarty. This was expected to be a closer game but trough out it was the sharp finishing of the holders that made the difference while Kilcar House can look back on a successful first year in the league where they took the runners up place.

Bridge Bar 2 Cope House 4
The Cope House are into the final for the second year in a row following a 4-2 victory in O’Donnell’s, Philip Gallagher opened the Killybegs account with a 4-0 win over Colm McGlinchey, Adrian Byrne levelled the game up with a 4-3 win over Declan Cunningham he had 16 and 18 dart legs in this one. Irwin Muirhead took the next match 4-0 against Johny Byrne he had a 148 checkout. Paul McNern tied the game up at 2-2 with a 4-1 win over Stephen Muirhead. Paul Gillespie defeated Francis Curran 4-0 to put The Cope 3-2 up and it was Rodney McBrearty that was the match winner with a 4-1 win over Garry McNern. Gerry McBrearty and Darragh O’Gara was the final match of the night which was not played. So it’s a repeat of last year’s final in Glenhead in two weeks’ time with the Cope looking to avenge last year’s defeat and to take the cup to Killybegs in the first time in 10 years
