A Letterkenny man smashed the window of his next door neighbour just seconds after Gardai left his home.
Martin Ward, 60, of Ard Na Ri was visited by Gardai who were investigating a complaint.
The Gardai spoke to Ward and left the scene.
However they were only 50 yards down the road when they heard a smash.
When they returned they saw a brick had been thrown through the window of number 45 Ard Na Ri.
Ward was spotted by Gardai coming out of his home and admitted the offence.
Ward said he had gone to Donegal County Council twice but they would not accept any money for the damage caused to the window.
Judge Paul Kelly said the council had enough problem facing their obligations with these kind of problems.
Judge Kelly said if Ward paid the €100 damage to the window then he would deal with the mater on April 22nd.
