A man who allegedly attacked a doorman in Letterkenny has been remanded on bail after the court heard the bouncer suffered serious injuries.
Ian Balfour, a father-of-four, was remanded on his own bail until May 27th after the attack at the Central Bar in Letterkenny on February 23rd last.
Garda Inspector Michael Harrison told Letterkenny District Court that a file has been sent to the DPP and they are awaiting a full medical report from the injured man.
“The injuries are extremely serious,” said Inspector Harrison.
Balfour, 36, of Bellanaleck, Enniskillen, Co Fermanagh has been signing on at Ballyconnell Garda station in Cavan.
Balfour, a part-time farmer, had been out on a stag party with friends before the alleged incident happened.
Judge Paul Kelly remanded him on his own bail and to continue signing on.
