A 40ft articulated lorry has been blown off the road in West Donegal this evening.
The lorry left the road in severe weather conditions between Dungloe and Loughanure in the townland of Ardcrone.
It is not believed that anybody was injured following the incident.
It comes as a severe weather warning is put into place across Donegal.
There is sleet and snow and severe gusts of wind.
Gardai have warned people to take care when out and about.
“Weather conditions are hazardous across the county tonight and we would ask people to take extreme care if out and about.
“We would ask people to slow down when driving and not to take risks,” said a spokesman.
A number of trees have blown down across the county but there are no injuries reported.
Met Eireann is forecasting freezing conditions and further sleet and snow for the next two days at least with the cold snap expected to continue well into next week.
