Budding Donegal singing stars Shane McLaughlin and Roisin Carlin are to battle out tonight to stay in RTE’s The Voice of Ireland.
Shane, from Downings, and Roisin, from Fahan, have made it through to the live rounds of the show.
Shane is being mentored by former Westlife star Kian Egan while Roisin is being helped by pop star Jamelia.
Both singers have been on the road this week trying to muster as many votes from across Donegal.
Shane, 28, has even put up election-style posters encouraging people to vote for him on the show.
Roisin, 20, said the support has been amazing.
“We have been flat out all week rehearsing. It’s getting very exciting bit it’s very intense and a lot of hard work behind the scenes,” she said.
There are just 24 contestants left in the show from thousands who entered it a few months ago.
Shane said he hopes himself and Roisin are still in the competition after tonight and urged Donegal voters to get behind them both.
“We have got to know eachother and I really hope we both get through after Sunday night. But the only way we can is if the people of Donegal get behind their own and get voting for us both,” he said.
The Voice of Ireland is on RTE One tonight at 7pm while the results show will be back at 9.3opm.
