The PSNI have interviewed two men who were arrested in Strabane after two raids in Donegal.
The men were quizzed following attempted robberies at the Clonleigh Co-op near Castlefin and also a café in Raphoe on Wednesday.
The men, who are both in their 20s, were stopped in a white van after a joint operation between Gardai and the PSNI.
Both incidents are believed to have taken place within half an hour of eachother after 4pm.
Both men had their faces covered in the raids.
The men took a drill from the co-op and then tried to take a cash register form the café being fleeing when a worker pressed a panic alarm.
