Registration is still being taken so please speak to any committee member before the end of March. 30 euro for adults and 15 for kids. It is important that all players are registered for insurance purposes for the year ahead.
The under 10s training will move outdoors to the banks this Saturday from 10am – 11am. Under 6 and under 8 training continues at the banks on Saturdays from 10am – 11am. The under 15s were beaten by Dungloe in the Gaeltacht at the weekend. The minors defeated St.Johns on Sunday last by 0-12 to 0-04. The under 14s start their league this weekend with a home game against Ardara. The minors are at home to Aodh Ruadh on Saturday with a throw-in time of 12pm. The fixtures for all club under-age games for 2013 have been announced and are available on the club website.
The Reserves had their first competitive game of season in the Gaeltacht when they lost against Cloughaneely after a solid display. Training continues at the Banks on Tuesday and Thursday at 7pm.
We will be hosting a First-Aid match day scenario course in the clubhouse on the 6th of April. This course will be confined to 12 teams coaches and at a later date we will run another course for club members who would like to do one.
Peil na mBan; Week 6 of the Dev. camp takes place in the Gym RCS on Tuesday 12th,The girls are now into game situations and rules of the game and are progressing very well. Comhghairdeas dó Jimmy Sharkey, Coilceim who had the correct score in our guess the score for the Donegal v Kerry game. Many thanks to everyone who bought a line and had a go with all funds collected going directly to the girls training fund for the Dev. camp. The club were successful in their application to the Ulster ladies council to run G4G (Gaelic4Girls) in our club. This is a 12 week course where girls from 8-13 years will get specalised coaching and is aimed to introduce girls to gaelic football for the 1st time and all schools will be contacted so that every girls has a chance to join and in the long run our club will benefit with more girls playing sports and have fun. More details will be posted in the next week. Training for u16 and minors is Thursday 14th march from 6-7pm in The Banks. REMINDER membership is now due and players have to have it payed to train or play, Contact Marie Martin or Mary Doherty.
