Quiz:
Congratulations to Scoil Chróine, Dungloe on winning the county quiz last week in Ballybofey. They go forward to the Ulster quiz final along with Kilmacrennan NS (2nd); Gaelscoil Leitir Ceanainn (3rd) and Scoil Iosagain, Buncrana (4th).
Rounders:
The draws for the rounders competition has been made and has been emailed to schools. The first round of fixtures must be played by 23rd March. The competiton is split into three divisions:
Large Schools- 8 plus mainstream teachers
Medium Schools- 4-7 mainstream teachers
Small Schools- 2-3 mainstream teachers
Football Championship:
Fixtures for the 2012/13 season are now on the website. Teachers are encouraged to play as many blitzes as possible in their section in order to give the pupils as much game time as possible. Results should be recorded and the school with the most wins will qualify for the knockout stages in April.
Mouth Guards:
Teachers please note that from Jan. 1st 2013, it is compulsory for all players to wear mouthguards during Cumann na mBunscol football competitions. Players will not be allowed on to the field of play without one after this date. This is a directive from the National Committee of the GAA and will also be implemented at club level.
Indoor Football:
The following dates, times and venues have been arranged for the indoor football competitions. Teachers please note that all children must be U-12 on 1st July 2013 to be eligible for these competitions. It is a 5-a-side competition with a panel of 8 players.
