The Annual Dinner Dance takes place in the Mt. Errigal Hotel this Friday night, March 8th with the meal at 8pm. Tickets are €25 and are available from Anne Forde (086-8342449) or Paul McGovern (086-8114151). Special guests will include Sam Maguire. We will also be presenting a Lifetime Dedication Award to a very worthy recipient and All-Ireland Medal winners Rory Kavanagh and Kevin Rafferty will be in attendance. We have provisionally set up a ticket collection night for the Dinner Dance on Wednesday evening (March 6th) in the Mt. Errigal Hotel foyer between 6:30pm and 7:30pm. Please call in and get your tickets so we can try to give the Hotel approx. numbers attending. The Dinner Dance takes place this Friday evening (March 8th).
The Minor Boys footballers will begin their League campaign this Sunday with a tough away trip to Scarvey to meet Buncrana with a 12noon throw-in. Best of luck to Christy, Eunan, Seamus, Gerard and the players.
The Seniors and Reserves will begin their league campaigns over Easter weekend. First up on Good Friday (March 29th) are home games v Kilcar before travelling to Gaoth Dobhair on Easter Sunday.
The boxers are training hard in preparation for Lord of the Rings IV that will see them take on the Rugby club in a night not to be missed on Friday, March 15th in the Mt. Errigal. Tickets are €20 and are available from the Mt. Errigal Reception, Charlie Robinson’s, Blake’s Bar or from the boxers themselves.
The Senior ladies travelled to Buncrana for a friendly on Sunday and came away with a good win.
The training pitch will open in the next couple of weeks to all teams. Please use common sense in bad weather. The training pitch will close for 4 to 6 weeks in the summer to give it a much needed rest, the new ground behind the far goals will be used over that period. Details of dates will follow in due course.
The new Letterkenny & District Schools League threw-in last week with huge numbers of kids taking part from schools in the greater Letterkenny area under the guidance of our Peace III funded initiative – GAA For All. There are games in Termon and O’Donnell Park this Wednesday, see local press for details.
The Sunday Morning Football Academy will recommence on April 7th at 11am.
