An investigation has been launched after a supporter allegedly spat on Donegal star Karl Lacey after yesterday’s game against Tyrone.karl lacey

Lacey, who is out injured, was making his way up the tunnel in Omagh when the incident happened.

The Four Masters man and bank official was not involved in any altercation before the incident happened.

Tyrone management have confirmed they are seeking to identify the supporter involved in the act and have apologised to Lacey and to the Donegal management team.

Manager Mickey Harte and Tyrone board chairman Ciaran McLaughlin visited the Donegal dressing afterwards to apologise.

McLaughlin confirmed a full investigation will be carried out into the matter.

They say the supporter could face a lengthy ban after the disgusting act.
