THE Mooney family in New York are out clearing up – after one of the biggest snowfalls there in years.
Meave Mooney, aged 9, lives with her family in Lynbrook, NY, on the south shore of Long Island.
“I’m a Killybegs man originally,” said dad Charlie.
“We’d like to say hello to our loads and loads of cousins back home in Donegal. It was a blizzard here…and the brushes are out for the clear-up.”
Flights to five states have been cancelled and half a million people without power after the snowfall yesterday and today.
Some areas got a metre of snow in just a few hours.
