Children at a primary school in Inishowen had a lucky escape when a car smashed into the fence outside the school.
Students at St Aengus’ school at Bridgend had not started arriving at the school when the incident happened.
It is understood that the car smashed into a fence and that three occupants then fled from the car juts after 8am.
It is understood that the men fled on foot towards the border – just 300 yards away.
Nobody was hurt during the incident.
Gardai are carrying out a full investigation into the incident.
