TODAY’S bad weather and high seas has forced the cancellation of the 5.30pm Arranmore Fast Ferry.
Driving conditions are also very poor in many areas due to continued high winds and surface water on many roads.
Readers are reporting flooded roads in and around Ramelton, Milford, Donegal Town, Convoy, Ballybofey and Raphoe areas.
Forecasters say winds will pick up again later this evening, hitting 120km/h in some exposed areas.
“Strong to gale force, southerly winds will veer southwest to west and will gust to between 90 and 120 km/hr until early night,” said a Met Eireann spokesman.
Rain will die out overnight before a new storm hits Donegal at dawn tomorrow.
