Well done Bridie Gildea and Kay Kelly for winning the Daily Mail competition on Saturday. The winning ladies go forward to represent Letterkenny in this competition which has always been popular with our club members. The draw for the first round will take place in early February when Kay and Bridie will find out which club they meet. Good luck to you both.
Weather permitting, the annual Drive-In will take place on Sunday 3rd February when Lady Captain Sandra, Mr. Captain Henry and Mr. President Barry will take their first official drives of their year in office and will launch us into our Centenary golfing season. Entries and draw will take place at 10am while you enjoy refreshments (supplied by the lovely ladies) and the drive-in will commence at 11am. Even if you are not playing because you can’t, you don’t or because you think you shouldn’t (its for everyone – so don’t think that!) – come along and support. Entry fee for the golf competition includes a plate of food in the bar afterwards so come and enjoy.
Don’t forget that annual subscriptions are now due and that all members who supplied an email address will have received their bills by this method of distribution. Please contact Dermot Condon should you have any queries regarding subscriptions and don’t forget that there is a free draw for those members who have signed up before the end of January – you could win your 2014 subscription.
The popular Bingo afternoon is organised for Sunday 24th February so keep that date free. Quack, quack.
Used mobile phones are still needed to get us to the magic number of 250 so that we can get a defibrillator for the club so if you have any lying around, please leave them into the collection box in the front hall.
And the really good news is that your diligent ladies PRO won the Irish Cancer Society’s hamper in the pro shop – yum, yum!!
Don’t forget the book club, the Friday night quiz and Wednesday night cards – we are a very active club…..
