QUESTIONS FROM CLLR. G. MCMONAGLE
When will the information boards be erected at the Town Park in relation to the Memorials erected there as per my motion?
ANSWER: It is hoped to have the Information Boards erected in early Spring.
(ii) Who is responsible for the Public Lighting in the Thornberry estate?
ANSWER: The developer of the estate is responsible for these lights. If a formal request is received from the developer for the takeover of the lights, the Council can then consider the matter further.
(iii) Can we have a report on the status of the two derelict partly finished houses at the entrance to Ard Na Rí estate?
ANSWER: It is hoped that the matter will be progressed in the next 4 – 6 weeks

Has there been any response from An Post with regard to request for a meeting?
ANSWER: An Post have confirmed that they are available to meet the Council at a Workshop in March.
(ii) What is the position with regard to the internal access road on the Unifi Site?
ANSWER: A legal agreement was made in 2011, that the Council are to take over and open up this access road, upon the commencement of the construction of the re-alignment of the N56 ie the “Business Park Road”. A consultation process under the Roads Act has to be undertaken prior to the opening up of the access road. An update on the matter will be sought from the NRA.
(iii) When does the Council envisage that works will start on the Roads at Glebe, Letterkenny as agreed in the Budget?
ANSWER: This work will be prioritised in the early part of the 2013 Roadworks programme. As the works are likely to be carried out by an outside contractor it will be subject to procurement and availability etc. It is hoped that April or possibly May will be the likely time
