Kilmacrennan Celtic 4 Gweedore Celtic 0
Kilmac continued their good start to the season with a well deserved victory over Gweedore Celtic. Kilmac started brightly and had early chances through Eddie Doherty and Ryan Shields. The breakthrough came with twenty five minutes. Martin Sweeney fed Timmy Burke who squared the ball to an unmarked Caolan Kelly. Kelly shot first time and blasted home from just on the edge of the 6 yard box. Kelly soon found himself on the score-sheet again when ten minutes later, after Michael McLaughlin was hauled down twenty yards from goal, Kelly slotted the resulting free kick into the corner of the net.
The Second half was more of the same and Michael McLaughlin slotted home from close range after latching onto a Gary Gorman free kick. Substitute Liam McBride also found himself on the score sheet with ten minutes remaining when he linked up well with Ryan Shields. Team efforts from both sides. Referee: Vincent McLaughlin
