Another rare bird has been spotted on lands in Co Donegal.
A stunning cattle egret has been turning heads after making its temporary home on a pig farm near St Johnston.
The bird is usually at home near the tropics but more and more have been travelling to Ireland to winter.
Many of the birds have been spotted in the southern half of the country in Waterford and Cork.
But BIrdwatch Ireland says it is extremely rare that such birds have settled so far north.
The bird, which is stunning white in plumage, has bidrwatchers flocking to East Donegal to get a look at the bird.
