The latest sporting celebrity to sign up for the Finn Valley St STephen’s Day 5K is Olympic medalist Paddy Barnes.
The Belfast man will join fellow boxers Jason Quigley and Tyrone Mc Cullagh, GAA stars Frank Mc Glynn and Marty O’Reilly, Olympic cyclist Philip Deignan and amongst the athletes Olympic marathon competitor Catriona Jennings
The response to date indicates a turnout of around 1,200 which is fantastic say organisers.
An interesting feature is the number of entire families signing up and organisers wan to stress that all are welcome including walkers, joggers and runners of all abilities.
It’s a 2 pm start registration open from 10.30am on the day.
