SUNDAY: Bright and breezy but generally dry most of the day with both sunshine and showers at times. Highest temperatures of 10 to 12 degrees. Winds will calm on Sunday night and cloud will clear which will see temperatures drop enough to give some slight ground frost.
MONDAY/CHRISTMAS EVE: It will be a bright cool day with variable cloud and sunny spells. Monday night will be dry but cold with a widespread sharp ground frost.
TUESDAY/CHRISTMAS DAY: It will be mainly a bright but cold day with sunny spells. There will some few wintry showers – mainly of rain or hail. Winds will be moderate from the northwest.
WEDNESDAY/ST STEPHEN’S DAY: It will be dry in most areas, but rain and strong winds will spread from the Atlantic later in the day and overnight to all areas bringing as rise in temperatures. It’ll continue unsettled, changeable and windy till the end of the week with further rain and showers, but overall quite mild.
