As a result of a Revenue investigation, he was also hit with an interest bill of €25k and penalties totalling more than €37k

Donegal property developers Redbridge Developments Limited, the Heneys, Donegal, settled a €247,000 VAT bill.
Flooring contractor Thomas Patrick Eunan Sheridan from Craig, Rathmullan, had to pay €42,000 for the underdeclaration of PAYE/PRSI, VAT and income tax.
Cormac Gallagher, Kilmasney, Newmills, Letterkenny, was fined €2,500 for the illegal selling of cigarettes.
Restaurateur John Boyle, Upper Main Street, Dungloe, was fined €633 for failing to hold a current liquor licence.
Fabra Catering Limited of Bridge Street, Killybegs, was fined €1,250 for the same offence.
Publican Thomas Lee, Dunfanaghy, and Patrick O’Hara, Cloghore, Ballyshannon were also fined €633 for failing to have a current liquor licence.
Ramsey’s Stores Limited, Market Square, Dunfanaghy, was fined €1,000 for the same offence.
Thomas Ryan, publican of the Village Court, Kilmacrennan, was fined €633 for not have a licence.
John Blaney, shopkeeper, The Lagg, Milford was fined €1,000 for failing to have a current mineral oil licence.
Michael Anthony Boyle, Riverside Park, Carrick, was fined €2,500 for the illegal use of red diesel.
Fruit and vegetable distributor Edward Buchanan, from Westbrook in Buncrana, was also fined €2,500 for the illegal use of red diesel.
