Four junior enterprises from Donegal will make their pitches at the national final of Junior Dragon’s Den today Saturday in a bid to secure a spot on the 2013 RTE programme.
Donegal Pens brothers Rónán and Conor Mc Garvey from Loughanure, Niall Mc Closkey from Letterkenny, Niall Foody from Letterkenny and a group of five girl students from Pobalscoil Ghaoth Dobhair will face challenges from dozens of other enterprises from all over Ireland.
Pen brothers Rónán and Conor Mc Garvey will showcase their range of wooden pens, while Letterkenny lad Niall Mc Closkey, from St Columba’s College, Stranorlar will show his ‘Easy Grower’ system for planting fruit and vegetables.
Errigal College student Niall Foody will demonstrate his invention of a luminous keyhole assistant, a great little invention that makes it easier for you to see the keyhole or lock on your door in the dark.
Students Caoimhe Nic Phaidin Ni Dhonaill, Neasa Bheaid, Maria Ni Fhearraigh, Emma Nic Uidhir and Laura Nic Lochlainn from Pobalscoil Ghaoth Dobhair have produced a set of ‘Cool Cards’, play cards featuring GAA players similar to the once famous ‘Match Attack’ soccer cards.
The national final takes place in the Gibson Hotel at the Point Village all day and the successful participants who will feature on the TV show in 2013 will be revealed next week.
