The Donegal GAA County Board have been told by GAA bosses to offers clubs a refund over the controversial €5 levy on All Ireland final tickets.
Some 12,000 tickets were issue on which an extra charge of €5 was put in the days running up to the final against Mayo.
Donegal County Board always maintained the charge was for a draw but many clubs claimed they had not been given a choice over the matter.
Donegal GAA officials were summoned to Croke Park last week and told the surcharge was outlawed by the Association.
A spokesman for the GAA said Donegal County Board officials had now accepted the charge was wrong and vowed not to allow it to happen again.
They have also been instructed to contact clubs and offer them a refund on their ticket allocation surcharge.
At the time there was a lot of quiet unrest over the surcharge.
Some clubs point blankly refused to pay it while other clubs soaked up the charge themselves.
