After the fog and mist cleared from Otway last Sunday week, three winners emerged to claim their prize in the Stevie Wonder turkey scramble. Arthur Morisson, Owen McShane & Shaun Duffy recorded an amazing score of 8 under par, nearly the same number of balls lost by some of the other teams in the near blind conditions. Well done to the trio, and also last weeks victors Charlie Coughlan, Sam Anderson and John McClafferty just scraped it by a nose ahead of the rest of the field on 6 under par. Not many chances left for those of us who still haven’t managed to find the right partners to come up with the winning combination, but we also have the added chance on Saturday 15th in the annual Christmas Hampers, more details next week. The club wishes to extend sympathies to lady Captain Brigeen McDaid, and club member Vera McElhinney, on the recent passing of family member James Cannon, Glenvar.
