It’s that time of year again when we light up Lifford in celebration of our Christmas Season and next Saturday is a date not to be missed!
The Diamond in Lifford will play host to a celebration of lights, carols and festive activities.
Entertainment will be provided by the Riverine Percussion and Choir Group – Sing Out Loud at 4.45 pm and the lights will be switched on by Santa Claus himself at 5.00pm.
After Santa has officially turned on the lights, everyone is invited into the Courthouse to meet Santa, where refreshments will be provided to both young and old!
Mayor of Donegal Frank McBrearty said, “On behalf of Donegal County Council, I am delighted to invite everyone into the Diamond in Lifford this Saturday the 1st of December for the official lighting of the Christmas tree. There’ll be plenty of carols and Christmas cheer to help us get into the festive spirit. “
The event has been organised by the Reconciliation through the Riverine Project in partnership with Lifford Coummunity Groups. The Reconciliation through the Riverine Project is supported by the International Fund for Ireland and managed by Donegal County Council in partnership with Strabane District Council.
