*Underage Presentation Night*
The underage presentation night will take place this Saturday, the 24th of November in the Ramelton Town Hall at 6pm sharp. It is hoped that Sam Maguire and some of the Donegal team will be in attendance!
*U21 Panel*
Congratulations to Christopher ‘Chippie’ Barrett and Cathal McGettigan on their selection for the Donegal u21 panel. This is a great achievement for the players themselves and also the club, and we wish the lads and the rest of the team the very best of luck
*Donegal Vocational Schools Team*
The club would like to wish Cathal McGettigan and the rest of the Donegal Vocational Schools team every success as they take on Down in the Semi Final of the Ulster Vocational Schools Championship. The game takes place on Thursday in Tyrone.
*Players Meeting*
A very successful players meeting was held last Saturday evening in the clubhouse. Strength and conditioning expert Paul Fisher from Ramelton gave an excellent overview of how strength and conditioning are key to the modern game and if we do not adapt and take it onboard we will be left behind. Paul conducted a personal assessment on all the players afterwards and created tailor made programs for each player. Anyone who was unable to attend the meeting last Saturday but would like the program, please contact barry.mcnulty@prudential.com or visit the club facebook page.
*Ladies Senior Team*
The senior ladies played their last match of the season last Sunday and were beaten by a strong Ardara side. The defeat meant that Ardara claimed this years Intermediate League title. Despite the defeat the girls can reflect on an excellent year in which they won the junior championship and intermediate gaelteact competition and also reached the semi finals of the Ulster Championship. The management would like to thank the whole panel for their commitment and effort this year and we can looking forward to bringing home more silverware next season
*Milford ’93 v Glenfin ’93*
The Milford team of 1993 will take on the Glenfin team of 1993 in a match in memory of Chris Gallagher. The game will take place in Milford at 3pm on Saturday the 24th November. Refreshments will be served in Dustys bar afterwards. This game is a replay of Milford’s one and only outing in the Senior Championship after winning the Intermediate Championship in 1992. In an epic encounter that went to a fourth game Milford were eventually beaten by the narrowest of margins and will be out to avenge that result on Saturday!
*Scor*
Milford GAA was proudly represented by participants in the group and individual categories at the semi final stages in Glenfin, with Milford comfortably taking first place in the groups. A massive achievement for the students of Mulroy School of Music who only began rehearsing two weeks before the event. Their musical talents were recognised by well known Donegal musicians and their talents were complimented on repeatedly by the judges. Success didn’t stop there for the participants as they began their journey to the final which was hosted earlier this month by Glenswilly. The group represented Milford extremely well and they took home a very proud third place. Milford GAA has never entered this competition in the past and with the success of the candidates it will surely be an annual event for all involved. Massive congratulations to all involved and a special mention to all the tutors who lent their expertise for the event.
