Golf News – Captain Joe Coyle’s Captain’s Drive in @ Ballyliffen golf club
Yesterday’s captain’s drive in was won by the one & only PJ Nee with a fantastic score of 36 points in tough conditions.
There was a fantastic turnout for this popular choice of captain & those who attended were not disappointed.
Captain Coyle lead the troops down the first with an amazing teeshot splitting the fairway and leaving only 45 yards to the green!! What a way to open the new season.
The gross prize was lifted by Keith Shiels who rolled back the years with an impressive 6 over par including an 8 at a par 3 and 5 birdies!!
Entertainment in the clubhouse was provided by Sanj O’Brien who having only joined the society made such an impression he has been earmarked for a captain’s role in the very near future.
Special thanks to Ballyliffen’s Liam Doherty White & Johnny McEleney who made the entire group feel welcome as always.
