Club Notes – Naomh Adhamhnáin – 12.11.12
The Seniors travelled to Armagh on Sunday to face reigning All-Ireland champions, Crossmaglen Rangers. After a good opening period the exertions of the last six weeks proved too much of a burden on weary legs. But a League and Championship double is a magnificent season by any standards. Well done to the players and management for restoring St. Eunan’s to the top of the tree in Donegal.
The Minor Boys finally get back into action this Wednesday night when they take on N. Conaill in the Championship semi-final in MacCumhaill Park at 7:45pm.
The U13 Boys will take on Ardara in the county semi-final with date and venue tbc, keep an eye on facebbok and e-mail for details.
The Minor Girls take part in the Karen McGlynn Memorial Tournament in Termon on Saturday at 12 noon as they prepare for their upcoming Ulster Championship game.
Well done to all the competitors who represented the club in the county final of Scór na nÓg in Gleann t-Súilí on Saturday night. Our young competitors in Céilí dancing, Instrumental Music and Tráth na gCeist gave a good account of their abilities and can be very proud of the fact that they have competed in a county final. Congratulations to Niall Hannigan who won his first Scór na nÓg county medal with his well delivered recitation “Our News” which proved a hit with the capacity audience and most importantly with the adjudicators on the night. Niall will now represent club and county at the Ulster semi final against Tír Eoghain and Fear Manach in Glenswilly on Friday 7th Decemeber at 7.00pm. Ádh mór ort Niall agus go n-éirigh go geal leat. Míle buíochas to Emer McGeehin for all the work she did for Scór na nÓg in the club this year. Anyone interested in taking part in Scór Sinsir this year should contact Oifigeach Chultúrtha agus Teanga Fergus McGee on 086-854 4445.
