Rosses AC
Last Sunday saw the Ulster Uneven ages taking place in Killybegs. There was a strong representation from the club. Good showing by the u-11 girls team of Ciara Kavanagh, Rioghnach Gallagher, Orlaith Kavangh, Kate Bonner, Anna Martin and Chloe Boyle. In the u-11 boys Patrick Marry, Ferdia Doherty, Aidan McCole, Eoghan Diver and Joe Sharkey all ran very well. Mia Doherty and Mia McDevitt gave it their all in the u-13 girls and Fintan Doherty putting in a strong effort in the u13 boys. In the ladies novice the team did very well with Sharon Wilson, Grace Garvey and Deirdre Diver finishing 8th team. In the mens Novice Noel Diver continued his good form with a very creditable 18th place in a strong field. The next 5 sessions for the Sports Hall athletics will commence Monday 12th November – in the Rosses Community School from 6:45 – 7:45pm. Fee is 10 euro for 5 nights or 15 euro per family. All welcome. Training will continue for our cross country until Friday 16th November from 4.30 – 5.30. Track and Field will start again in the Spring. The club annual presentation night will be Wednesday November 21st at the N. Mhuire club house starting at 7pm. All parents and children are asked to come along and all children who have participated in indoors, track and field, cross country, etc. The annual club AGM will take place on Wednesday 28th November in the hall in Mullaghduff with an 8:30pm start. Parents, committee and new members all welcome and encouraged to come along. All seniors please note that the club is planning to have a Senior awards and social night with a provisional date of December 14th planned in Dungloe – more details to follow.
