Club Notes – Naomh Adhamhnáin – 29.10.12
All roads lead to Ballybofey this Sunday as the Senior Footballers meet N. Conaill once again in the county SFC Final. Best of luck to Eamon, Michael, Brendan and all the players. Thank you also to all the volunteers that decorated the town in Black & Amber over the weekend. Be sure to wear your colours and shout at the top of your voice for Naomh Adhamhnáin!
The Senior Reserves will be bitterly disappointed that they bowed out of the championship at the semi-final stage once again this year. They failed to score in the second half after holding a 4 point advantage at half timebefore eventually losing by a single point after finishing the game with 14 men.
The U16 girls were due to meet N. Mhuire in their championship decider in Termon on Tuesday (Oct. 30th) afternoon, see Facebook and e-mail for details of how they got on.
The Minor boys still await fixtures for their league semi-final replay v Aodh Ruadh and also for their championship semi-final that has been held up by the southern board.
The Minor Girls will take on St. Michael’s in their championship final in a repeat of the U16 Final from two years ago. The game takes place in Termon this Saturday (Nov. 3rd) at 12noon in Termon. All support welcome.
The U13 boys also await news of who they will face in their county semi-final though they know it will be Ardara or N. Conaill.
The Sunday Morning Academy Presentation takes place in Arena 7 this Thursday, November 1st from 6:30pm – 8:30pm. Cost is €5 per head. The Academy has now finished until next Spring.
There is no girls U12 training in the Convent Gym this Wednesday (Oct. 31st – Halloween) but it will return next week, Nov. 7th.
The AGM is scheduled for Sunday, November 25th at 2pm in the Clubhouse. If you know of anyone that requires notification by post, please send their name and details to Charlie McAteer asap on 087-2668633 or to charlesmaca@eircom.net.
The Minor Board AGM is scheduled for Thursday, December 6th at 7pm in the Clubhouse.
There were 3 winners in this week’s Lotto Draw that all matched 3 numbers and win €35 each: Martin Blaney, Carolina Park; Lorraine Duffy, Killyclug and Hannah Carr, Hawthorn Heights. The numbers drawn were 11-18-19-21.
Congratulations to Eugene and Joanne Organ on the birth of their baby daughter, Lauren.
We extend our sympathies to the family and friends of the late Stanley White, Beechwood.
