THE sister of online bullying victim Erin Gallagher has paid a heart-breaking tribute to her.
Ballybofey girl Erin, 13, died by suicide on Saturday after being bullied on the internet site ask.fm
Her older sister Shannon has been inundated with loving messages of support from dozens of people all over Co Donegal.
The Finn Valley College pupil wrote a special tribute to Erin on a facebook tribute page.
It reads: “I love you darling. It’s so hard to say you’re gone. Everyone’s heartbroken. I couldn’t have asked for a better sister.
“You were a stunning girl. No-one deserved what you went through and I’m sorry I couldn’t prevent it. Love you with all my heart.”
Erin had been tormented by anonymous messages to the ask.fm site.
She had been taunted by sick internet trolls about an incident in which she had her hair pulled and had responded by threatening to kill herself last Friday.
On Saturday night Gardai believe she took her own life.
Finn Valley College staff and pupils have been left devastated by the death.
