Donegal heart throb Daniel O’Donnell stunned ITV’ s Loose Women panel when he told them they were ‘galanta’ on live TV today.
The Kincasslagh crooner told viewers he had ‘gone back to school’ recently where he had been brushing up on his Irish.
He said: “I can speak a little Irish but I’m not fluent so I went back
to Irish college for a couple of weeks.”
He went on to say that he was from a Gaeltacht area and had really
enjoyed his recent stint back at school.
He told Denise Welch, Carol McGiffin, Jane McDonald and Andrea McLeam: “Tá sibh uilig galanta.”
He also went on to promote his new album ‘Songs from the Movies and
More’ and had the Loose Women and audience sing along to Edelweiss from his favourite film, The Sound of Music.
The Donegal man also told viewers how he hopes to perform with the
Vienna Boys Choir when he travels to Salzburg in a few years time.
“I’ve watched the Sound of Music every time it’s on the television.
We’re hoping to go to Vienna in 2014 and perform with the Mozart
Orchestra and the Vienna Boys Choir but that’s being organised at the
moment,” he said.
The ITVshow ended with Daniel performing ‘Amore’ from his new CD which is released today.
