The Donegal glue gang have struck again.
Just two weeks after more than 20 residents had their front doors superglued, more residents have been targeted.
Residents in St.Eunan’s Terrace in Letterkenny awoke this morning to find cars and front doors filled with superglue.
It is the third such incident in just over two weeks.
In the latest attack, at least six homes and three cars were glued.
Local resident Frankie Vaughan said the area has many elderly residents.
“I don’t know what kind of individuals would go out of their way to do this but they should be ashamed of themselves.
“What they have done here is cowardly and an utter disgrace.
“I would appeal to anyone who may have seen this to contact the Gardai,” he said
Gardai have said they are continuing their investigations into the latest incident.
Two weeks ago more than 25 houses at Ballymacool Terrace had their front doors superglued .
There has also attacks on the Convent Road area.
The attacks cost local residents, many of them pensioners, more than €50 to have their locks replaced.
Resident John McGeever, whose house was targeted, said people were living in fear that they could be left stuck in their homes.
“What happens if there is a fire and these idiots have glued people into their homes?” he asked.
Local locksmith Conal Kelly said the glue renders the front doors completely useless.
“There is simply no sense to it other than pure vandalism and it causes so much bother for residents,” he said.
