St Conal’s Hospital in Letterkenny has been part of people’s lives in Donegal for many decades.
Although many mental health patients are now integrated into mainstream society, there was a time when St Conal’s was home to hundreds of patients.
Now a film company is making a documentary looking at the history of the hospital form its establishment in 1866 to the present.
Lugh Films are looking to speak to anyone who has memories of visiting relatives there or anyone who may have spent time there as a patient.
They are also looking for old pictures and film which can be used in the hour long documentary which will be broadcast on TG4.
