NORTHERN BOARD DIVISION 3 FINAL.
The U13 boys earned their place in the Northern Board Division 3 final after beating Glenfin last Friday. The team had to overcome a six point half-time deficit to book their place in the league decider in which they will face Inishowen neighbours Muff.
The last time the the two teams met it was the boys of Muff who took the spoils with the narrowest of wins but it was a game that could have gone either way and the final is sure to be an entertaining affair. It would be great for the team to have a good vocal support and full details of venue and time for the final will be posted later in the week.
SENIOR & RESERVES.
The Reserves and Seniors both suffered defeats in their respective Championships this weekend.
The Reserves falling to Naomh Mhuire in the preliminary round decider by a score of 8 points to 6. This ends the Reserves involvement in the Championship for 2012 but they are still in a strong position in the league and will look to get their good form going again when that competition resumes.
The Seniors suffered an 8 point defeat at the hands of Termon but will at least have the chance to atone for that loss when Termon come to Straid next Sunday afternoon at 3.00pm. The team is really going to have to rise to the occasion if they are going to lift themselves out of the slump of the past few weeks and a good show of support will be crucial in helping them to do that.
