Naomh Mhuire
A great evening saw a great crowd of 260 walkers and runners celebrated and remembered two great legends of the Naomh Mhuire club on Friday evening last in Frankie Pat Gallagher and Finbar McBride. With excitement building towards the All Ireland Final there was talk of tickets even by athletes during the race but in the end Noel Diver from Gweedore charged to the front to head Kevin McGee from Dungloe. Fionnula Diver made it a double for the Diver family taking the womens race from another Gweedore women Noreen McGee. Following the race a picture was unveiled in the clubhouse of both men by their families. Many thanks to all who supported and helped out on the evening.
Last weekend all roads lead to Croke Park and all our loyal supporters were there in force to shout Jim and lads on to victory. Congratulations to Jim and his entire team and the players for a wonderful year and deserving All Ireland Champions.
The Seniors have no game this weekend. The Reserve Championship playoff is scheduled for this Sunday against Urris in MacCumhaill Park at 3pm. The Reserves have a good chance of advancing so all support appreciated.
