A secret crack squad of Mayo supporters have planted their county’s flag on top of Donegal’s highest mountain.
The trio of Mayo supporters scaled the 2,464 ft up Mt Errigal yesterday to plant the flag in advance of Sunday’s All-Ireland showdown at Croke Park.
The squad came readily equipped with a flag and even a large flag pole to fly the flag from in a blatant act of sabotage!
The cheeky supporters even videoed the mission and put it on You Tube and called it ‘Erecting the Mayo flag on Mt Errigal (Donegal) just to be ignorant’.
The mission may have been an act of reprisal after TD Joe McHugh planted a Donegal flag on Croagh Patrick last week!
When they successfully completed the mission the trio congratulated eachother and one man can be heard saying “well done McCann.”
Laugh now lads because there’ll only be one flag flying after Sunday afternoon.
C’mon Donegal.
