MALIN GAA NOTES 16-09-12
So here we are, only a few days now until Donegal play their biggest game for 20 years and hopefully this time next week we will be All Ireland Champions again. Best wishes from all at Malin GAA Club to Jim McGuinness, Declan Walsh and the Donegal senior side in Sunday’s Final.
Congratulations from all at Malin GAA Club to Patrick Houton who won the Irelands Number 1 GAA Supporter competition on Sunday bagging the club a princely €10,000 in the process, thanks to everyone who voted for him on the Supervalu page, we have it on good authority that the response was phenomenal so thanks again and a special thanks to Jacqueline Houton who put together a superb profile which was also a major factor in the win.
Congratulations also to Breda Doherty from Bunn who will be one of 9 flag-bearers for the Donegal team on Sunday, Breda will have lunch in the Croke Park Hotel before the game and receives a special kit on what is sure to be a wonderful day for her, Breda of course has an All Ireland title under her belt already this year in Fleadh Cheoil na hEireann so hopefully she will be a good omen.
Thanks to everyone who attended a very successful Night with GAA Stars and a big thank you to the organizers, performers and anyone who helped in any way, special thanks to guest speakers Richard Ferris, Declan Bonner and Martin Shovlin and MC Pat McLaughlin while the presence of Jimmy from Senegal and the Bishop cannot go without a mention!
