RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta’s Donegal team will be decamping to the capital city for the All-Ireland final on Sunday 23 September, and they hope to bring listeners all the excitement of the build up to the match, as well as live commentary, and post-match analysis.
On Sunday 23 from 11.45 am until 1pm Raidió na Gaeltachta will broadcast the programme An Uair Dheireanach live from the Burlington Hotel in Dublin, where they will be speaking to Donegal and Mayo fans in the run up to the big match.
Áine Ní Churráin will present the programme, and Michelle Nic Grianna will be on the streets of Dublin to get opinions of some of the fans en route to Croker.
Both minor and senior matches will be broadcast live on Raidió na Gaeltachta, with commentary by Séamus Mac Géidigh, Donegal Regional Manager, of Donegal V Mayo from 3.30 pm.
Then on Monday 24 September Barrscéalta will be live from the Burlington Hotel at 11am to look back at the match, and to analyse the result, whatever it may be!
Listeners to Raidió na Gaeltachta can hear two songs in support of the Donegal team on the station in the lead up to the All Ireland. An tAthair Seán Ó Gallchóir has written An Sam, sung by An Crann Óg, and Eilín Ní Bhaoill has written Glas agus Buí, sung by Na Haroos from Rann na Feirste.
