There was mixed fortunes for our Senior and Reserve teams at the weekend at home to Malin. In the first game a first half Steven McDaid goal paved the way for victoryfor Naomh Brid as it helped them to a 5 point half time lead. Some spectacular point taking and a late Sean Rooney goal in the second half left Malin with to much to do and the lads ran out comfortable winners on a scoreline of 2-12 to 0-10. There were good performances from Alan Quinn, Stephen Walls and Sean Rooney. The reserves play away to Killybegs this coming Friday at 7pm.
In the senior game two first half goals proved to be the downfall as the seniors fell to a 3-12 to 0-12 defeat. Seven points down at half time the lads couldn’t manage to break down the Malin rearguard to get back into the game in the second half. There is no senior game this weekend.
The All County Quiz will take place in the Seven Arches Pub this Friday night at 9pm. It is €5 for entry and the proceeds go to the county team training fund. Tickets for the All-Ireland semi-final will be distributed at the quiz.
Best of luck to David Walsh and the county team in their All-Ireland semi-final against Cork this coming Sunday.
